Monika Broz

Monika, the co-owner of Joga Centrum, leads weekly vinyasa & yin classes, mostly in English. Monika’s life’s dharma is a life of service, creating a safe and gloriously inspiring space for others. It brings her joy when students can heal, release, cleanse the body and the mind to find their greatest potential. She especially enjoys empowering women into practices of self love, celebrating their bodies, finding pleasure, tapping into inner wisdom and letting go of societal shackles. She believes there is a great strength in the community that she loves to cultivate at JC. Monika’s classes are an experiential journey, with the emphasis on breath, alignment and fun. She incorporates essential oils, custom-designed music play-lists into each session. Monika’s yoga flow is a curated feast for all of the senses to create bliss, harmony and contentment within.

Monika has lived in and around New York City for the larger half of her life, where she studied Fine Arts and later worked as a commercial/portrait photographer. She started practicing yoga around 2006, and from day one was completely mesmerized by this life-transforming practice. She has studied and attended classes in studios all over the world. Monika completed her first Teacher Training in New York in 2016. She still furthers her studies by taking courses in energy, alchemy and meditation.
Off the mat, she can be found riding friesian horses, talking to trees in nearby mountains, walking her 2 adopted boy-dogs, or brain-storming some creative and wild ideas with friends and witches.
